Successful brands take into account colour palettes, imagery, typography - and that’s just scratching the surface. We haven’t even gotten to brand voice or the (more important) brand purpose yet. As a brand design studio, we’re always learning As a brand design studio, we’re always learning new processes and trying out new trends and design styles. The temptation is REAL to just hop on a trend because you’re personally drawn to it, or because everyone’s doing it. But we’re here to tell you those trends come and go ✨very✨ quickly. Remember the rose-gold-and-marble trend that took Instagram by storm a few years ago? 😅 LOL, we still have nightmares about that. But does that mean you can’t apply trendy design to your brand? No, it doesn’t. Take trends, process them and pick out the ones that add to your brand, and can work as an extension of your brand identity. Do not, for the love of consistency, please do not, rebrand your entire business based on them. But using key trends in campaigns, touchpoints or elements can show your audience that you are at the forefront of the design world, and that you are looking to evolve and further your business.
